Weeding & Landscaping - 2021
The landscaping crew will be starting the Spring cleanup in preparation for the upcoming season. A part of the maintenance will be spraying of herbicide and the continual weeding/landscaping inside the fenced patio area of each unit. The spraying of herbicide is to curb the weeds from getting out of control throughout the season. As some Residents have indicated they prefer to do their own gardening and weeding, the Board requires that you answer the following questionnaire to advise us if this is your preference.
Please note that the herbicide sprayed are pet and child-friendly. The weed control product being used is a broadleaf selective herbicide which is applied at a 2% concentration (2% product, 98% water). In this concentration, things commonly found around the house such as coffee and toothpaste are more toxic. Once applied, the product should be given around 6 hours to dry before being walked on so as not to reduce the effectiveness of the product. The product is absorbed through the plants' leaves and it can take anywhere from 10 - 14 days to fully kill the weed.
We require your response no later than the end of day on Wednesday, May 19, 2020. If we do not hear from you, it will be assumed that you would like the landscaping crew to spray herbicide and continue weeding/landscaping throughout the season inside the patio area of your unit. If you are renting out your unit, it is your responsibility to ensure the Board and PM has the most current tenant information on hand. It is also your responsibility to forward all communication on to your tenants.
